Hey guys, you continue to educate and entertain! The information you give is honestly invaluable to those of us on the outside trying to get in. It is nice to see that on occasion the both of you disagree on a subject. It shows that there is no 100 percent right answer in a lot of situations. Sometimes you just do your best and move forward. Luckily with you guys handing out the good advice, our options include some tried and true practices. Keep doing what you guys are doing and help us to write gooder!

It's always great to hear you two give some insight into the inner workings of the screenwriting world.

I've always thought video games would be a great platform to be involved with in terms of writing. Although you enjoyed being dialogue machines I would love, as you mentioned, being part of the world creating process. Thanks for sharing a bit of that experience.

I also enjoyed your column in Script magazine. I am in awe of the sacrifices made now for the future and hope that some of the Net-based idea born of the pause become an unexpected reward for the stalwart line-walkers.

Always good to hear from you guys! Take care.

Thanks for answering my question! Now, I have a new one. Maybe you could answer this on a subsequent podcast. A lot of books I read and podcasts I listen to mention 'rising action' as it pertains to screenplays. I'm not overly familiar with this term. I guess I probably have just internalized the concept as something else, but maybe you guys could shed some light on it from an insider perspective.

Thanks again for this great resource!

    Hey guys,

Another informative podcast. I know I sound like a broken record, but I would love to hear a retrospective of the past three years. Do you have any regrets, would you do it again, what would you do differently, how do your wives feel about your career choice etc... I would like to know if the sacrifices have been worth it?

Love your podcast! Some days it makes me hopeful and some days it makes me hate myself for even attempting to write. But as long as it makes me feel something...

Anywho-what about those of us who hate the physical act of writing? I'm dying to tell my story, but I hate that I can't get what's in my head out on the paper. I'm sure that comes with more practice, but I can't get over the feeling that it's a chore. I get such a high once I finish a scene but it takes me forever to get there! Any suggestions?

Pretty interesting advice, I think there are certain times when you can trust someone with everything you know, but you’re probably right in that most of the time you should only teach them how to bait and cast and let them figure the rest out on their own.
